Park 66 was a leisure park in the Pilsworth area of Bury, just off Junction 3 of the M66 motorway and around 2 miles from Bury town centre.
It was formerly home to a Vue cinema, a bowling alley, and several restaurants.
At the time of writing (May 2015) the site is currently derelict. The Vue cinema here closed in 2010 with the opening of the Vue Bury at The Rock. It originally opened in June 1989 as a Warner cinema and was one of the first multiplex cinemas in North West England.
The Tenpin bowling alley (formerly Megabowl) shut its doors in March 2012. The restaurants here (Pizza Hut, Frankie & Benny’s, and Chiquito) have also closed.
Several businesses in the vicinity of Park 66 are still operating. Asda have a large supermarket opposite the site. It is open 24 hours except on Saturdays (closes at 10 pm) and Sundays (10.30 am – 4.30 pm). Others include McDonald’s, the Travelodge Bury, and the Paper Mill pub.
