Parsonage Retail Park is a modern shopping park in Leigh, near Wigan. It takes its name from the Parsonage Colliery, a coal mine that operated on the site until 1992.
The biggest store at the park is a Sainsbury’s supermarket. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 7 am to 10 pm, and Sunday 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Other shops here at the time of writing (August 2016) are Halfords, Poundstretcher, Next, Home Bargains, Currys, Argos, Pets at Home, JD, DW Sports Fitness (sports store and fitness club), TK Maxx, and an M&S Foodhall.
All shops are open seven days a week. Opening times are generally Monday to Friday 9 am to 8 pm, Saturday 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.
The park also boasts several places to eat and drink. There’s a Harvester pub, a KFC, and a 24-hour McDonald’s.
At the time of writing (August 2016), an extension to the park is due to open. It will feature a Greene King family pub plus Aldi and B&M stores.
Parsonage Retail Park is situated on Parsonage Way in Leigh (postcode WN7 5SJ), off Atherleigh Way, and a short walk from Leigh town centre. There’s a car park here with spaces for over 1,000 vehicles. Parking is free for shoppers.
