Blackwell is one of the UK’s most important late 19th century buildings. Designed by architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, is the only Arts and Craft Movement building open to the public in the country.
It has recently been restored by the Lakeland Arts Trust and opened as a gallery to showcase high quality Arts and Crafts.
The house is situated approximately 1½ miles south of Bowness.

The gardens here offer fantastic views of Windermere.
