Southport Model Railway Village is a one-eighteenth scale model of a typical Lancashire community.
Covering 1½ acres this miniature world features over 200 buildings handcrafted by the owner. A 45mm gauge railway winds its way around the landscape.

Admission at the time of writing (June 2018) costs £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for children (free for under 3s). Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) cost £15.
Facilities include a small cafe and toilets. Dogs on leads are permitted.
Southport Model Village Railway is located at the delightful King’s Gardens in Southport town centre.
Other attractions nearby include Marine Lake, Pleasureland, Splash World, and Southport Pier.
This was so awful it was actually amusing! Some Lancashire village! it is a muddled collection of random plywood thatched cottages, toy farm animals and plastic people that get trapped under the trains until somebody comes along with a brush to sweep them up. Surrounded by 14 foot razor-wire fence, to keep the children in, (or out)?
Taking my 2 youngest grandchildren here this afternoon. It will be the 4th or 5th time. It’s a lovely relaxing way to spend a couple of hours. We all love it. It always feels such a safe environment for the kids and that’s such a bonus these days. Can’t wait !!
Best day out ever. I had a brilliant time.
Spent 2 nice hours here and picked up some ideas for my 16 mm garden railway at home. Best wishes from Peter.
What a great place. The kids loved it and we’ll certainly come again next time we’re in Southport.
Very enjoyable. Our two children (19 months and 5 years) loved it. Well worth a couple of hours and obviously very well cared-for by dedicated owners. Had ice-cream and tea, plenty of space, tables and chairs. An unexpected gem.
Loved it, will visit again. Very reasonable.
One of the best days out I’ve ever had. My son loved the trains, and I loved the tranquillity. Took a picnic and stayed for hours! Would definitely recommend a visit.
This is the worst day out I’ve had. A complete disappointment and waste of money.
A wonderful place, well landscaped and kept beautiful. Regards from NI.
