Orrell Water Park is a picturesque nature reserve and coarse fishery in Orrell, Wigan.

The main area consists of two former reservoirs, surrounded by woodland. Paths, suitable for prams, run round around the water.
The park is home to Madisons Lakes Angling Club. Both lakes are stocked with carp. Day fishing tickets can be purchased from the cafe.
There’s a small playground near the cafe.

Greenslate Water Meadows is an area to the south of the reservoirs. In the 1980s ponds were dug here and the area planted with native tree species.

Today Greenslate Water Meadows offers a mix of open water, wet woodland, and planted trees and scrubs. The wetland area offers a haven for dragonflies and damselflies, amphibians, butterflies, and birds. There’s a hide here for viewing birdlife.
