Quarry Bank Mill

Nestled within the 250 acres of Styal Country Park, this former cotton mill is now one of the UK’s greatest industrial heritage museums.

Visitors can experience the sights and sounds of the cotton mill with its working machinery. Other features here include the most powerful working waterwheel in Europe, the Apprentice House where unpaid child workers lived, the owner’s garden, a representation of a mill worker’s cottage, and the mill workers village.

The park itself offers woodland and riverside walks with plenty of places to picnic.

Facilities include a restaurant, café, gift shop, car park, and toilets with baby changing area.
