Situated just outside Nantwich, Stapeley Water Gardens features a popular garden centre, the largest angling store in the North West, and a small zoo.
The garden centre offers an extensive selection of outdoor and houseplants, plus garden furniture, equipment and tools, and more.
The fish and pet centre sells a wide range of pets including rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, budgies, canaries, and cockatiels. Bedding, kennels, hutches, cages, aquaria and other related products are also available.
Angling and Outdoor Centre
This large stores stock a huge range of fishing rods, poles, nets, clothing, fishing tackle, bait, and more. Sections are carp, sea, game, and match and course.
The camping department is equally impressive. It offers a massive range of tents, sleeping bags, camping equipment, clothing, and rucksacks from all the major suppliers.
Bugs of Fun
The Palms Tropical Oasis, a small zoo, closed in September 2010 to make way for a new housing development. In October it was announced that the project had been delayed for around 12 months and the attraction would reopen.
As many of the animals had already been re-housed the attraction was renamed Bugs of Fun. Although the focus is now mainly on insects, spiders and frogs and toads, there are also meerkats, prairie dogs and piranhas here.
Other facilities include a restaurant and gift shop.
Entry to Stapeley Water Gardens, except Bugs of Fun, is free.
Tickets for Bugs of Fun cost £3.45 for adults, £3 for concessions, and £1.75 for children (aged 3 – 15). The price for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) is £9.50.
Stapeley Water Gardens is open 7 days a week. Opening times for individual sections vary.
