Blackpool South Train Station serves the South Shore area of Blackpool. It is the terminus station of a branch line running from Preston via Lytham and St Annes-on-Sea. The preceding stops are Blackpool Pleasure Beach Train Station and Squires Gate Train Station.
The station has few facilities and is unstaffed. There is a large car park run by Blackpool Council adjacent to the station (fees apply).
It is the closest station to Bloomfield Road, the home stadium of Blackpool FC. The Sandcastle Waterpark and South Pier are also nearby. Services are few and far between though.
Blackpool North Train Station is on a different line and offers additional routes and more frequent services.
