Lostock Train Station is a suburban railway station in Bolton, serving the upmarket residential areas of Lostock and Heaton. It is a popular park-and-ride station with a large car park that’s free for passengers.

Lostock Station offers step-free access to both platforms. Platform 1, for services towards Manchester, can be directly accessed from the car park. Platform 2, which provides services to Preston, is equipped with a 1:10 ramp.
Both platforms feature tactile paving to aid visually impaired passengers.
For those driving to the station, accessible parking spaces are available in the car park.
History of Lostock Station
Lostock Junction Station first opened in August 1852. It closed in 1966 due to cuts but was reopened in 1988 as Lostock Parkway. It was subsequently renamed Lostock. The line here was electrified in 2019.

Lostock Train Station is on Lostock Junction Lane in Lostock, Bolton (postcode BL6 4JN).
The station boasts a sizeable park-and-ride car park. Parking is free for rail passengers.

The Beaumont Hospital and Bolton Golf Club are nearby but not within easy walking distance. To reach either of these destinations, a taxi is recommended.
Adjacent stations on the line are Bolton and Horwich Parkway. Bolton is a busier station with more facilities. Horwich Parkway is close to Middlebrook and Bolton Wanderers.
