Lytham Train Station is one of three stations serving the affluent conurbation of Lytham St Annes.
The station is served by trains travelling between Blackpool South and Colne. Stops on the way include Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Squires Gate, St Annes-on-Sea, Ansdell & Fairhaven, Preston, Blackburn, and Burnley Central).
The station isn’t particularly busy and its facilities don’t amount to much more than a shelter and a couple of benches. In fact, the elegant Victorian-era station building is now the Station Tavern, a popular pub and restaurant.
Lytham Train Station is situated on Station Square. It’s just a five minute walk to the seafront and attractions such as Lytham Windmill and Lytham Green.
There’s no taxi rank at the station but there is a reasonably large car park (parking fees apply). To find Lytham Train Station using a satellite navigation system enter the postcode FY8 5PA.
Visitors can access the Blackpool Tramway by taking a northern-bound train to Squires Gate Train Station and walking a short distance to the Starr Gate Tram Stop.
