This station is situated right at the southern end of Blackpool. It was the closest train station to Blackpool International Airport (now closed as a passenger airport).
The station is unstaffed and has few facilities.
The Blackpool Tramway starts at Starr Gate Tram Stop, just a short walk from the station. Trams travel along the Promenade and then onto Cleveleys and Fleetwood.
