Heywood Train Station is the eastern terminus of the East Lancashire Railway. It serves Heywood, a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
Rochdale Borough Council and the East Lancashire Railway have ambitions to extend the line from Heywood to Castleton Train Station; linking it to the National Rail network and the Calder Valley Line (Manchester to Leeds).
