Station Information
Pleasington Train Station is a request stop. If you wish to catch a train here, you must signal to the driver as the train approaches. Passengers travelling to the station need to inform the conductor so they can tell the train driver to stop.
The station has two platforms:
- Platform 1 – Blackburn platform
- Platform 2 – Preston platform

Aside from a couple of shelters, the station itself has few facilities. There’s no ticket office here. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines on the platforms.
The station has no toilets, cafe, shop or other amenities. The Railway pub is directly opposite the station, boasting a bowling green and pleasant outdoor seating area.

However, neither platform has tactile paving.
Location of Pleasington Station
Pleasington Train Station is situated off Pleasington Lane in Pleasington.
The station doesn’t have its own postcode, but owners of satellite navigation systems can find it using the postcode of the Railway pub (BB2 5JE). There’s no official car park at the station, but plenty of free street parking is nearby.

No buses stop within easy walking distance.
The station is on the East Lancashire Line. Adjacent stations on the line are Cherry Tree and Bamber Bridge.
Pleasington Golf Club is just a short walk from the station. Witton Country Park is also nearby, but Cherry Tree is closer.

It is the closest station to Hoghton Tower. The manor house is around 3 miles drive from the station. However, there is no public transport from here to the attraction.
